Bioslife does exactly the same and could be better. It is featured in the Physician Desk Reference.

My LDL came in at 195 190 mg/dL at my last checkup, and my doc said I had better get it under control or I would have to go on a statin drug. I guess I thought that my days of eating good food were over. But what is great about Sterolyn is that I’m not totally forbidden to eat the kinds of foods I enjoy. It actually can have a cheesesteak or some buffalo wings from time to time, and my cholesterol is still down. I’ve gotten my LDL down to 130 ml/dl, which I didn’t think I could ever do.

Also I would like to make a new comment referring to my previous statement. 50 some years ago, people didn’t have as many vehicles, which meant walking. No food that was prepared for them, or restaurants with “pre-formed meats”. The common job was a “Trades man” which usually meant that he was out 9-5 working with his hands, back, or tools. Those jobs kept you active, maybe not in shape mind you, but at least doing something. Most jobs these days your at a desk or office.

Actually I didn’t mention anything about buying or not buying. I said that they shouldn’t be used as a crutch, or simply on its own. Sure there is a lot of tech behind it, and it may just be the next best thing since the 30sec hamburger from McDonald’s. But like the wonder of the burger, you eat only that, and your bound for trouble. If you ever read the info about any of these products, they all say “Will HELP reduce “XXX” in the body, with a healthy diet and exercise.”

  8. jv262002 says:

So, you are saying that we shouldn’t buy these products because they didn’t exist 50-60 years ago? So what that science made these products only recently? That is called technological advancement, get used to it.

  9. jv262002 says:

This ad states that high cholesterol is the “leading cause” of heart disease.” This statement is actually true. Granted high cholesterol is not the only cause of heart disease, but it sure as heck doesn’t help you.

I’m with Cuscowillawilla on this one. most time tested proven method to a healthy life has been exercise and diet, which people have been doing for more than 400 years, it’s only in the last 50-60? years that we’ve had the science to make up these drugs and methods to correct for the science that made up all those new stream-line foods & convenience foods.

there was fatty food, but there was never the amount or convenience there is today. people just don’t “do” as much physical work anymore.

  12. thehealthfranchise says:

That’s why we need to lower the LDL and triglycerides, and increase the HDL, which Bios Life can do safely and effectively.

And for overall reduction of risk of heart disease, we need to include exercise, take actions to avoid becoming obese, avoid smoking, and not forgetting a good diet with enough fiber, which Bios Life helps to supplement.

  13. cuscowillawilla says:

High cholesterol is an indication of conditions that cause heart disease, mainly lack of exercise and consuming excessive refined carbohydrates and vegitable oils. Low HDL cholesterol and high triglycerides are much better indicators of heart disease than high total cholesterol. It is far better to prevent excessive synthesis of cholesterol by good diet and exercise than by by lowering cholesterol levels by taking statins or some patent medicines.

  14. TUInHighDef says:

    High cholesterol IS heart disease.

  15. cuscowillawilla says:

This is all nonsense. The statement that cholesterol causes heart disease is false. Cholesterol is not a significant indicator of heart disease. Heart disease is caused by poor diet and lack of exercise. The primary dietary causes are sugars, particularly high fructose corn syrup, excess refined carbohydrates, excess polyunsaturated vegetable oils like corn oil and soybean oil, lack of adequate omega-3 fatty acids and inadequate consumption of healthy saturated fats.
