Breast Augmentation: Which Type is Right For You?

Due to extreme advances in medicine, there are several types of breast augmentation available today. Reasons for breast augmentation are aesthetics, breast reconstruction after cancer or to correct deformations, breast reconstruction to replace dangerous, old implants, or as part of sex reassignment. Both men and women can have breast augmentation or reductions. Breast augmentation is the most common form of plastic surgery in the United States. With all the advancements in medicine and the popularity of this type of surgery soaring, many men and women are considering having this procedure performed. The question of what type of surgery would be best for you beg to be answered.

The two most common types of breast augmentation implants are saline and silicone gel. Other types of implants used in the past were polypropylene string and soy oil filled implants. It is sometimes recommended that these implants be replaced, due to safety issues.

While there isn’t much choice in type of implants offered, there are a wide variety of incision types. The most common is called an inframammary incision, which is to say an incision just below the breast in the infra-mammary fold. This procedure is most common due to the fact that placement of the implant is easiest and most precise using this method. Some women opt not to use this method though, as breasts that do not drape over the infra-mammary fold will show a more visible scar than with other methods.

The periareolar incision is one that places the incision along the areolar border. If using silicone gel implants, this type of surgery is more difficult that an inframammary incision due to the fact that the actual incision length is approximately five centimeters in length. The biggest advantage to this type of incision is that scaring after healing is minimal.

The transaxillary incision is an incision in the armpit, whereby the implant is tunneled into the breast for proper placement. With this type of incision there is no scaring on the breasts, but placement is much more difficult. Revisions of the surgery are sometimes required.

Transumbilical incisions are much more uncommon. This technique requires the surgeon to incise the navel and tunnel up from the stomach into the breast. There is no scaring of the breast, but the surgery is much more difficult and recovery takes longer and is more painful. Only saline filled implants may be used with this procedure, as silicone implant’s shells can be damaged during placement of the implant.

Dihydrotestosterone is substance formed on scalp when testosterone and enzyme type II 5 alpha reductase react with each other. In short propecia works by blocking the process which converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone on scalp. Discover The Brainiac Hidden Inside You

Discover is a full-color, monthly science magazine written for the average Joe. It covers all science fields from anthropology and linguistics to astronomy, paleontology, and medicine. Over the years there has been a predominance of paleontology and astronomy articles, but there is diversity in the magazine’s coverage. Each issue is fairly thin with about 80 pages, many with ads. The magazine’s writers present their information clearly. And they cover a broad range of subjects, shedding light on everything from who we are (biology) to who we were (anthropology), from where we’ve been (archaeology) to where we will be (astrophysics). The photography and diagrams are usually top notch. The photographs are crisp and bright and the historical facts are well laid out and easy to understand even for a twelve year old. The magazine and its contents inspire you to learn and you will come away from reading an issue knowing things you might have not known otherwise. It is very good for anyone with any interest in fascinating sciences or technology, or anyone with teens in the house. It is a good way to get kids to learn and read. Discover writes articles that just about anybody can read. They are informative, accurate, interesting, and put into Layman’s terms. I have yet to get an issue that I didn’t read cover to cover and not enjoy.

Each issue is packed with tons of picture and articles. Discover magazine has about twenty small articles on what new things scientists have found or invented. I love reading these because they are quick, to the point, and very interesting. The rest of the magazine usually has longer articles about space, medicine, geology, or just about anything else involved with science. And although the magazine is dedicated to chronicling what humans know, its writers are quick to point out the limits of our knowledge and to present theories that are at odds with the dominant thinking. This gives insight into the ideas that might become the next dominant ones. Discover is good light reading for people interested in science who are not scientists. It is also a good magazine for expanding your interests. The wide variety of not-in-depth articles can lead you to discover new interests & topics you might wish to learn more about. Over the years, several articles in Discover have led to more in-depth reading in various areas I would not otherwise have been interested in, and expanding both your horizons & your knowledge base is always a positive thing. It has a great brain teaser section in the back, which I usually don’t have time to think over, but is always interesting. Another very good feature of Discover is the Brain Works and Brain Bogglers. Brain Works helps you to better understand your brain and why it does the things it does through simple activities. Brain Bogglers has riddles and puzzles for you to figure out. Discover is not the only science magazine but it is a welcome addition to National Geographic, Smithsonian and Popular Science. They are all excellent magazines but there is certainly room for excellence in searching the universe for science. In this article let us find out more about the causes of such baldness and the alternative treatments available to combat this condition.

Reasons For Male Pattern Baldness
The main reason for androgenic alopecia according to medical studies is the excess production of DHT in the body which when deposited to the scalp area prevents the hair follicles from extracting vital nutrients from the blood which results in weakening of hair and finally hair start to loose grip on the scalp and fall off and due to the shrunk hair follicles the possibility of new hair growth is reduced to a very minimum chance.

How To Prevent Hair from Falling
Treating hair loss is not as difficult as people think. The only thing you have to do is to bring the level of DHT in the body to its normal self. There is a prescription drug named finasteride commonly known as propecia which can reduce the level of DHT in the body but people have reported adverse side effects of its usage such as growth of breasts in men and erectile dysfunction plus this medicine has not been accepted universally.

Using Natural Herbs To Treat Hair Loss
The use of natural medicines has many benefits the first and foremost being lack of any side effects. Herbs like gotu kola and saw palmetto have the same effect as of propecia in helping lower DHT levels but they do not cause any harm to the body instead they provide vital nutrients to the scalp area thereby helping in growth of new hair. This is the reason why so many people are turning towards the use of natural medicine to stop the loss of hair.
