What Are your Body You Alkaline or Acid?

What amazed me the most about medical aids in South Africa is that they really go out of their way to encourage people to stay healthy.  They offer yearly (some 3 times a year) medical checks for cholesterol, high blood pressure, sugar.  You can also join certain Gym’s that are subsidised by the medical aid you belong to for a quarter of the price.  The most important check they don’t offer is to check your blood for acid.

If your pH is normal you will never get a disease.  Acidosis is the forerunner of most, if not all chronic degenerative diseases including cancer, diabetes, arthritis’s, and heart disease.  According to research, total healing of chronic illness only takes place when and if the blood is restored to a normal slightly alkaline pH.

What does pH means?  pH is the abbreviation for potential hydrogen.  The pH of any solution is the measure of its hydrogen-ion concentration.  The higher the pH reading, the more alkaline and oxygen rich the fluid is.  The lower the pH reading, the more acidic and oxygen deprived the fluid is.  The pH range from 0 to 14, with 7.0 being neutral.  Anything above 7.0 is alkaline, anything below 7.0 is considered acidic. (blood pH, you get different counts for urine)  Normal pH is between 7.35 – 7.5, anything below or above this range means symptoms and diseases.  If blood pH moves too much below 6.8 or above 7.8, cells stop functioning and the patient dies.  Enough to get you to the doctor immediately, and make a habit of checking your pH level as regular as you go for all these other checks.  If you got a health problem you are most likely acidic, get to your doctor.

What is the cause of a Ph level to high or to low?  It is what we put in our bodies.

Acidosis is caused by the consumption of excess protein and other acid forming foods.  In my book Health dangers you will find an alkaline diet chart to help you eat the right food to avoid acidosis.  Other symptoms is negative thoughts, defensive, argumentative, unpleasant and pessimist who find nothing good about anything.

Acidosis is also the cause of corrodes (eating into cell wall membrane) arteries, veins and heart tissues, premature ageing, weight gain, a condition known as Insulin sensitivity or Syndrome X, cholesterol, blood pressure, disrupts critical lipid and fatty acid metabolism, inhibits metabolism of stored energy reserves, inhibits cellular regeneration & DNA-RNA synthesis, inhibits oxygen to the tissue, inhibits life giving electrolyte activity, all forms of cancer, diabetes, liver and kidney diseases, Parkinson diseases and so the list goes on.  And acid pH is the seed of degenerative diseases.

Symptoms of acidosis:  Symptoms of prolonged acidosis can easily be mistaken for individual character traits.  However, definite attitudes and mannerism develop as a result of the super-charged internal activity of the body as it works toward riding itself of the damaging excess acid.   A person with acidosis has first an exaggerated sense of well-being, is high on achieving, believes himself as perfect, is overly ambitious and restless, than change to pessimist, can’t sleep restfully, wake up tired in the morning, find fault with everything and everybody, is tired and experience general aches and pains, become irritable, ill tempered, difficult to please, and show signs of ageing.

Although everyone who suffering from acidosis does not experience all of these symptoms, it is helpful to the practitioner to be able to correlate some “personal traits” with clinical findings and to recognize indications that the patients body is over taxed and headed toward chronic degenerative disease.

Maybe if we all make our medical aids or insurance aware of this very fital test, a lot of disease can be avoid and many people can save their own lives by knowing when their pH level is in a dangerous zone and do something about it.  We will also understand when we experience these symptoms that it is not because we are a horrible person, it is our body’s telling us there is something wrong.

Treatment of Acid Reflux, Garlic Supplements

Heartburn may be the most common physical problem known to man, at least in America where we eat just about anything at anytime. This article will take a brief look at the symptoms and treatment of acid reflux disease and hopefully it will help you to gain victory over your suffering. I believe if you follow what is here you can achieve relief.

For the severest acid reflux cases, or the more serious GERD, these over-the-counter remedies will not work. You need to look out for any side effects that may occur if you have been using antacids for a long period of time.

f your physician has diagnosed you with acid reflux then it’s recommended that you visit him on a regular basis even if you think that the problem is gone. Also, it’s very important that you tell your healthcare provider what herbal treatments you were using to cure your condition because this will help make a correct evaluation.

The treatment of acid reflux may be dependent on if the stomach acid is volatile. Sometimes it ends up volatile, for whatever reason, and you need to calm it down. I’ve found that vinegar works well because of the natural enzymes. Just add more vinegar based food to your diet and you’ll be all set.
One can always deal with the gastric acid reflux disease in an effective manner, that is to say, if the disease has not reached a very bad stage. If you remain aware of yourself and employ proper measures to tackle this problem, you will get well soon.

As well as using herbal teas, another well known herbal treatment for acid reflux is chicory root which can also help to treat other digestive problems as well. This particular herb can easily be found in either your local health food store or grocery store as well as being available for purchase online.

The most common heartburn and acid reflux symptoms in women are the same for men, other than those found during the pregnancy. These would include, but not limited to, a burning sensation behind the chest plate that intensifies when bending over or stooping down, problems swallowing, an irritated throat and a scratchy sounding voice, a gassy feeling coupled with burping and an upset stomach.

Another option of treatment for acid reflux disease is vinegar. It has natural enzymes that calm the stomach acid. Obviously you can’t just drink bottles of vinegar; you need to add it into your diet. The vinegar based products like salad dressing and ketchup that you add in, the less likely you’re going to experience any form of acid reflux.

Creating home remedies for acid reflux is easy if you have the required ingredients. Things like cabbage, pineapples, papaya and vegetables are usually important elements that are used to make ginger root, apple cider vinegar and things like that. It should be reminded that these home remedies may only fix your problems temporary. If you are still facing acid reflux issues, then you are suggested to seek doctors’ advice for long term treatment.

Heartburn is a very unpleasant condition but if you’re patient, you can forget about the symptoms very fast. I recommend you try these herbal acid reflux remedies but as always, make sure you consult your doctor first before proceeding.

Discover 5 Ways You Can Beat Acid Indigestion Safely With Chia

Do you suffer from acid indigestion? Are you worried about acid reflux?
Many people feel the ‘burn’ of acid indigestion or heart-burn more than one time each week. Of course, there are ways to deal with it if you use chalky tablets or take expensive medications. Wouldn’t it be great if there was an all-natural and inexpensive solution that actually enriches your diet while relieving you of your acid problems?

The solution may be unexpected, but it is exceptional!
The solution for you could be the Chia Seed. This little-known seed has amazing properties that can help you fight off heart burn or acid indigestion like nothing else. It is also free of harmful chemicals, and side effects.

To relieve indigestion, all you need to do is eat 1 dry teaspoon of Chia, and drink a few mouthfuls of filtered water. Right away, the tiny seeds will go to work in your stomach to help you feel better.

Let’s take a look at how Chia Seeds help you fight off heart burn.

First Super-Absorbent Quality:

Each tiny seed is covered in a soluble fiber layer. When the seed is dry, this layer isn’t visible to the naked eye. However, when you wet the seed and wait 10 minutes, you’ll see a big bead of gel (with the consistency of a gelatin-snack) has formed around the seed. This shows that the soluble fiber has been activated. The tiny fibers grab and hold onto liquid of any kind, keeping it on the surface of the seed.

How it helps you:

This absorbent quality isn’t limited to water. The seeds will soak up any liquid they’re added to, including excess acid and any other stomach irritants. They’ll form the beads of gel and be passed through into the intestines, which then safely remove the gels and release the nutrients in the seed.

Second- Clinging Quality:

In the process of forming gels, the seeds may also gather up impurities in the liquid. The ancient Aztec people, if they got dirt or ash in their eye in battle, would actually allow a Chia Seed to be dropped into their eye. (This is not recommended, you are not an ancient Aztec warrior) The seed would then go to work absorbing their eye-water and any debris along with it. The seed and debris could then be easily removed and the eye was clear again.
The same thing happens when dry seeds are added to your stomach. Particles, bacteria and liquids are ‘captured’ when the seeds form their gel.

Third- Alkaline Quality

Chia Seeds aren’t acidic. They won’t add to your problem, their alkaline quality will help balance you out. Chia contains 6 times more calcium than whole milk (by weight) which is not only good for your bones, but good for your digestive health. They also include the trace mineral Boron, which is an important key for absorbing calcium.

Fourth- Double Fiber Quality

Chia contains more fiber than flax seeds and bran flakes. It provides both soluble and insoluble fiber, both of which are necessary for healthy digestion. Fiber helps move food through the digestive tract. Not only does this prevent constipation, but it sweeps out substances which may be harming you such as bacteria-waste. When everything is moving along quickly ‘toxic wastes’ don’t get the chance to build up in your intestines.

Fifth- Carb-Conversion Slowdown

When you eat Chia Seeds, they slow down the conversion of carbohydrates into sugars. This not only has the benefit of helping to balance blood sugar, but it helps you feel ‘satisfied’ sooner. Traditional advice for acid indigestion avoidance usually includes “stay away from sweets” because a sugar overload could trigger an acid incident. When you use Chia, you can help avoid a sweet overload.

Chia Seeds are 100% safe and natural. Pesticides and GMOs aren’t used in growing them. They are free of any chemical or additive. Because of these amazing properties, they never needed enhancement of any kind. You don’t have to be afraid of any sort of “over dose” when you use them. You can eat Chia every day forever, and you’ll only become healthier because of it!

The same can’t be said for PPIs or H2 antagonists (also called acid blockers). These are a type of pharmaceutical drug which inhibits the body’s ability to produce acid. They work very well, even in over the counter form. However, if used for any longer than the “recommended amount” of time by either the label or your doctor, they can create real trouble for you.

Antacids/Acid Blocker Problems:
When used for extended periods against product recommendations, these drugs prevent your body from absorbing calcium, and B12. This reduces bone density and can even lead to osteoporosis. The level of people afflicted with osteoporosis is on the rise in America, especially in men. This quote from a professional pharmacist, Jim LaValle, R.Ph, ND, CCN. States the problem.

“Recently, I did some radio and TV interviews on the topic of osteoporosis. Rates are increasing, especially in men; 55% of people over the age 50 have osteoporosis; and another 34 million or so have low bone density. As a pharmacist, I feel obligated to warn people that one of the contributing factors to these increased rates is taking prescription and over-the-counter drugs that reduce or block the production of gastric acid. I’m talking about proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and other acid blocking drugs like H2 antagonists for heartburn and ulcers. Besides lowering B12 absorption which influences red blood cells and homocysteine levels, these drugs reduce stomach acid so effectively, they keep your body from absorbing calcium, and therefore can reduce bone density.”

You don’t have to live with acid indigestion, or sacrifice your bone health. With Chia on hand, you can combat acid safely and healthfully when it acts up. It doesn’t block the production of acid which you need to absorb vital minerals. It actually provides you with calcium and the full range of B-vitamins, not to mention complete protein and fiber. It’s also inexpensive, costing less than a dollar a day, even if you use it several times a day. When you use chia, a smart and healthy diet, and don’t overload on caffeine and alcohol, you may be looking at the end of costly and painful digestive problems. Chia can only help you, so why not give it a try today?

Be Cautious When Using Acid Reflux Medicine

In the event your doctor has prescribed any acid reflux medicine for you, while you ought to follow his instructions carefully, it would also be wise to consider the implications of taking such medicines over extended periods of time. There is no doubt that you have an issue with acid reflux, otherwise your doctor would not have prescribe such medicines, however here is some food for thought.

It is always important to understand what you are putting into your body, when taking acid reflux medicine there is the danger of possible side effects. Let’s look at the ingredients and then go over what these ingredients can cause. The ingredients are as follows; aluminum hydroxyl, carbonate, calcium, magnesium and sodium. These ingredients could lead to the following, dehydration, diarrhea, constipation, hypertension, cardiovascular problems, gallbladder disease and even kidney failure. Of course many of us would not even be aware of this, and it is often the case that doctors do not share this information with you. After all, the goal at the outset is to control acid reflux and one does not think of the possible side effects that can occur.

It must also be noted that many people rely on their acid reflux medication to control their symptoms and do not take a moment to think about altering their diet so as to prevent these symptoms. Therefore they use the medication to provide instant relief and to avoid the inconvenience of changing their diet and therefore wish to continue to eat when and what they want. You must remember when you first feel the pain of acid reflux you have already damaged the esophagus. The pain that you are experiencing is acid from your stomach making contact with the esophagus; in turn, this can cause ulcers, strictures or bleeding. Let me remind you, once you experience this pain you have already done damage.

When you use acid reflux medicine as a crutch to continue your poor eating habits, you are not only damaging your esophagus and digestive system but also your health. The foods that are contributing to this problem are also bad for you in general. Acid reflux is an indicator of a poor diet, and over eating or eating spicy foods along with red meat and dairy will continue to contribute to your health issues. So if you continue with these bad habits, then expect nothing less that poor health and well being as a whole.

The common problem is that medicines just address the symptoms of your heartburn and does not deal with what causes it. Moreover, it is well attested that many of these drug based medicines bring forth harmful side effects which sometimes can be a problem in themselves.

So rather than rely on acid reflux medicine to overcome these symptoms, why not address you’re eating habits so as to prevent this issue from occurring in the first place. You can begin to do this by eating less junk food, red meat, citrus fruits, dairy products and fried foods. Replace these with foods such as leafy vegetables, whole grains and fibrous foods along with drinking plenty of water.
