Golf – Mickelson Steps out of PGA Tour as Wife is Diagnosed with Cancer

By Audrey Nolan The World No. 2 golf player Phil Mickelson announced on Wednesday that he is stepping out from the PGA tour schedule indefinitely since his wife, Amy Mickelson, was diagnosed with breast cancer. According to his management office, his wife will have to be submitted to some more tests but she will start the treatment as soon as possible, and she will be submitted to surgery as well, while Phil will stay beside her to help her overcome this hard situation.

Mickelson was scheduled to participate in the Byron Nelson Championship that is being held this week and he was supposed to defend his Crowne Plaza Invitational title at Colonial next week as well, but that is still uncertain due to the new announcement. In addition, his participation on this year’s US Open would be on hold while he waits for the results from Amy’s surgery and treatment. Many people involved with the PGA Tour have already expressed their sympathy with Mickelson and his wife. “We see Amy as this vibrant, bubbly mother of three who is tremendously devoted to her husband and family,” veteran golfer Jack Nicklaus said. “No one, especially Amy, deserves to have to face the battle that accompanies cancer. But we know that Amy has this amazing inner strength and spirit, and with Phil’s unwavering love and support, they will fight and overcome this.” Amy and Phil have always been very close to each other; she is always giving support to Phil in all the competitions that he participates in. She is also a very committed mother and wife; she can be seen in the tournaments with their three kids showing love and a positive spirit to her husband who is very committed to her too.

Scott Verplank, who knows Mickelson well and has played with him in two Ryder Cup teams and two President Cup teams, said that he felt really bad when he found out of Amy’s condition, since for him she is a very neat person who always has a smile on her face and that he hopes they can treat this situation successfully since they discovered the illness in a early stage.

Breast cancer survivor Sarah Strange, who is the wife of former Ryder Cup captain Curtis Strange, also said that she knows that Amy is going to overcome this difficult situation and that she will move forward with confidence because of the upbeat personality that she has; she also expressed that she could share all of her experiences with Amy since she has already gone through the same and that she would give her all her support because she deserves it as she was always supportive to her when her husband was the captain of the team. Amy and Phil Mickelson met each other in 1992 and got married in 1996.

They have three kids together: Amanda, Sophia and Evan of 9, 7 and 6 years. When is Phil going to be back in the Tour is still very uncertain. All of this occurs when Mickelson rival, Tiger Woods, is back from and eight months leave due to a knee surgery; however, his priorities have obviously changed completely now. We hope the best for this great player, his wife and his entire family.

Are You Diagnosed With Cancer

When the doctor gives you that horrible confirmation that you have cancer, don’t panic.  Take a few days for it to sink in than take charge.  Look at your options are going to go for natural treatment or are you going to go for chemo, drugs and radiation.   Take a bit of time to do research on natural healing, the side effects of chemo, drugs and radiation.   Any case whatever your choice is start immediately with the following:

Stop eating animal flesh- If we take in to much protein our body’s get overcharged with the poisonous by-products of protein metabolism, which cannot eliminated.  About 5% of the flesh of all animals consists of waste material called uric acid; uric acid is poison to humans.  You definitely don’t need more poison in your body.

Change your diet- Bad diet effects the body in many ways.  Change to a diet of raw vegetables and fruit.  Raw vegetables specially green leafy vegetables, they are the riches form of minerals, sodium, calcium alkaline organic salts, best source of chlorophyll, and small quantities of the highest grade of protein and trace minerals, and vitamin A and C.  Raw vegetables are builders of the cells and tissues of the body and that if what you want, you want to build up the healthy cells so that they are to strong for the cancer cells to damage them.  This way you prevent the cancer from spreading and eventually the cancer cells will die, without chemo therapy, drugs and radiation.

Eat plenty fruit- raw fruit have the highest glucose content, it contains natural sugars for instant energy, contains fibre, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.  These elements provide a rich source of calcium phosphorus, sulphur, iron, and magnesium.  The vitamin C find in fruits are an infection fighter and protects you against pollutants like lead, mercury and food additives.  The say vitamin C is a strong cancer fighter.  Stock up on vitamin C.

If possible make your own veggie patch.  Dig a square of 1 meter by 1 meter; put the top soil separate from the bottom soil.  Pack the patch’s bottom with small sticks and some leaves, cover with bottom soil, mix topsoil with leaves and cover the rest of the patch.  Sow only about a quarter of the seeds in the packet of leafy vegetables like spinach, lettuces (butter) and broccoli. Make a salad of lettuces and spinach etc.

Another most amazing cancer fighter is honey and cinnamon, it increases the vitality of your body  and that is very important because when you sick you don’t have a lot of energy, it also builds up you immune system.  Scientist of today accepts honey as a Ram Ram (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases.  I spread a mixture of honey and cinnamon on my toast everymoning instead of jams that is full of sugar, it is delicious.

Have the doctor check your alkaline level.  Please read the next information over and over and don’t neglect this step: According to research, total healing of chronic illness only takes place when and if the blood is restored to a normal slightly pH.  The pH range from 0 – 14, with 7.0 being neutral.  Anything above 7.0 is alkaline and anything below 7.0 is considered acidic.  The ideal pH balance for blood is 7.4 to 7.5 this means it is just slightly more alkaline than acid.  If you body’s pH is not balanced, you cannot efficiently assimilate vitamins, minerals and food supplements. There are two factors that are always present with cancer no matter what else may be present.  These two factors are acid pH and lack of oxygen.  People get cancer because they are acidosis.  Acidosis means death.

Eliminate sugar in all forms – sodas, sweets, candy, coffee and all food contains sugar.  Sugar is poison.  Cancer thrives on sugar.  Sugar drains and leaches the body of precious vitamins and minerals, the body cannot utilize this refined starch and carbohydrate unless the required proteins, vitamins and minerals are present.

So stock up on vitamin C, honey, cinnamon and lots of raw veggies and fruit, cut out meat, salt and sugar.  Rather eat dates for more protein.  Avoid peanut butter and Soy it contains harmful toxins.  Be positive, learn to relax and do exercises.  Use your family and your friends they want to help; they don’t want you to die.

Make you choice live or die.
