Secrets of Beautiful Skin

There are some simple things you can do to have younger looking skin. If you’ve “been there, done that” and aren’t sure there will ever be a solution for you, hold on tight. There actually are great ways to make sure you don’t get old, rough looking skin.

Skin care ingredients that actually give you younger looking skin by nourishing and reversing skin aging, here’s what you need to know: The main causes of aging skin are loss of collagen and elastin, which give the skin strength and flexibility; loss of hyaluronic acid, the “glue” that holds collagen and elastin in the skin matrix.

The secret to get younger looking skin is very simple. You need to first understand how your skin works, what is good for your skin, and what is bad for your skin. Once you know this, you can easily take good care of your skin. When it comes to skin care, there is a basic, thumb rule you should remember – anything that is natural is good for your skin.

A lot of products for younger looking skin will attempt to treat this problem through the inclusion of antioxidants such as CoenzymeQ10 and vitamin E. These ingredients won’t do you much good when they are included in the typical product, because they are man-made instead of natural versions.

The secret to having younger looking skin is to use an anti aging solution that contains an ingredient that stimulates collagen and elastin production. By doing this, you can actually firm up sagging skin, get rid of wrinkles, and make your skin soft to the touch- almost as smooth as a baby’s bottom.

Eating a well balanced diet, especially one with adequate fresh fruits and vegetables supplies each of your cells with the nutrients they need to continually produce strong, resilient cells, as they did when you were a child. Exercising for 20 minutes a day also helps, since each of these regenerating skin cells thrives on oxygen in your bloodstream.

Sun Damage

The sun is the worst thing to expose your skin to. Not only can it cause cancer to form but is responsible for making you look older than you really are. The UV rays are the component that should be avoided the most. When you take care of the skin, you rid it of the dead skin cells the UV rays create.

Cleansing Skin

In order to keep skin young looking, you should use gentle cleansers, not exfoliants, on a daily basis. Look for all natural ones that contain tea tree oil, manuka honey or orange oil, if you need something a little “stronger”. Colloidal oatmeal makes a good safe scrub and it is also soothing.

The secrets of beautiful skin are Functional Keratin, and Phytessence Wakame extract. These are a combination of keratin proteins, and a kelp derivative that have been discovered capable of stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin in your skin, and of halting the destruction of your hyaluronic acid. When tissue levels begin to climb your lines and wrinkles disappear.

Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar, Apple Cider Vinegar Secrets

Human body suffers from immense kind of problems related to health and it is very difficult to handle each and every disease with the help of long term treatment. This special sort of vinegar can provide relief from various kinds of diseases and disorders which include osteoporosis, problems related to high blood pressure, arthritis, cancer, indigestion, problems related to aging and memory and diseases associated with heart and cholesterol.

There are many other benefits to using apple cider vinegar. It is known to reduce common infections, aid whelping, improve stamina, prevent muscle fatigue after exercise, increase resistance to disease, and protect against food poisoning. Cider vinegar is rich in the vitamins, minerals, and trace elements found in apples, especially potassium; it normalizes acid levels in the stomach, improves digestion and the assimilation of nutrients, reduces intestinal gas and fecal odors, helps cure constipation, alleviates some of the symptoms of arthritis and helps prevent bladder stones and urinary tract infections.

Apple cider vinegar, or “ACV” as it has been coined over these last decade as it’s multipurpose health cure-all legend has grown, is a relatively inexpensive form of vinegar which is pressed from one of the most quintessentially healthy foods that we’ve always been encouraged to eat throughout our lives, the all American apple. Make no mistake, apples are healthy, it’s not just by some chance the saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” got popular.

Additionally, the acidic solution causes a fat burning effect to the person taking it. It also comprises of vital minerals, acetic acid, lactic acid, propionic acid, amino acids, enzymes and trace elements and vitamins and roughage specifically apple pectin and potash. The fermentation process supplies alcoholic apple cider that is merged with oxygen to create acetic acid. The pH of apple cider vinegar is highly flattering for the body.

In modern times, the medicinal uses for apple cider vinegar were probably best publicized by D.C. Jarvis a Vermont doctor who became familiar with the use of this product as a folk remedy. Used on animals as well as humans, Jarvis found that it could cure or prevent many common ailments, from colds and viruses to arthritis and digestive problems. More recently it has become a component of some natural diets, aiding in the weight loss process.

Apple cider vinegar has been used for immeasurable functions. It was also found to ease one from any illness. Over the years, apple cider vinegar has been chosen as a helpful health stimulant. The good features of the product have extended itself beyond its borders. The acetic acid and the malic acid found in it fights bacterial and fungal infections and ease muscle joints. The amino acids present are accepted to be antibiotics and antiseptics. While many of medicinal uses of vinegar are yet to be proven, some of these uses have clinical studies that can support the medicinal claims.

Apple cider vinegar has been labeled the miracle remedy by some experts because it is often a top remedy for numerous ailments. You probably know one person who swears upon taking a swig from the ACV bottle every day.

Skin Health Secrets: How to apply skin care products

It is pretty well known that different people get different results with the same skin care products. This can be caused by variations in body chemistry, but more often than not it’s because everyone applies skin care products differently.

Of course, if a particular product doesn’t give you the results you expect, it doesn’t always mean you are applying the product incorrectly. Unfortunately, many products just don’t work as advertised, no matter what you do! To top that off, some products may work for some people but not for others even when used properly. Nevertheless, when a product doesn’t work, it may often be due to incorrect application.

Products like skin creams, gels. or lotions are a mixture of chemicals that have a biological action, applied topically to the skin. So the effectiveness depends on whether the active ingredients work, and whether they are absorbed properly into your skin. Your skin’s temperature, hydration, environment and other factors will influence your skin’s ability to absorb the active ingredients in a product. To be sure that you get optimal effectiveness of you skin care products:

Cleanse skin before applying any products. The best time to apply is right after you come out of a warm shower or bath because not only is your skin clean, but it is also moist and warm, so it will absorb whatever you apply much better. Do not wash with hot water because excessive heat accelerates aging. Water should be comfortably warm but not hot. However, if you plan to apply anything oily that blocks the pores, splash cool water on yourself to close pores. Just pat dry with a towel. Also, use a charcoal shower filter to prevent exposure to the chlorine in the water. You probably drink bottled or filtered water – but you can absorb more chlorine through your skin during a shower than you would get from an 8 oz. glass of water!

When cleansing your skin, don’t use regular soap or shampoo, they’re much too drying. Use a good moisturizing soap, a skin cleanser, or plain warm (not hot) water.

The top layer of skin is mostly made from dry, dead cells. When this layer becomes too thick, either from aging or poor skin care skin, the active ingredients of a skin care product have trouble penetrating. Professional microdermabrasion safely removes that top layer of skin, revealing the healthier, younger-looking skin underneath and allowing skin care products to be better absorbed for greater effectiveness. In addition, microdermabrasion done regularly strengthens the skin by stimulating elastin and collagen production, which helps diminish wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars and many other blemishes.

Use short, firm strokes to apply skin care products. Do not stretch the skin. Do not rub. After applying, gently massage the products into your skin by tapping the area with your fingers for 30 seconds or so.

When using a professional microdermabrasion product at home, it is important to read the directions and follow them very carefully. Remember, professional microdermabrasion is usually applied with expensive machines and medically-trained professionals. You can save a lot by doing it yourself, but don’t be over-eager to get that 10-years-younger look. Apply the sponges gently the first time – let your skin adjust to the application. Add a little more time and pressure each application, about 2 weeks apart, up to a maximum of 3-5 minutes (depending on the sensitivity of your skin).

If you have sensitive skin or allergies, always test the products you want to use first on a small patch of skin on your underarm (the soft skin on the bottom of your forearm).

   DO YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN?

Did you know sensitive skin is very common? More than 40% of people say they have it. Its causes include age, heredity, gender, and racial differences. These questions below can help you find out if your skin may be sensitive. Of course, a trip to your dermatologist is the best way to find out!

Does your skin get extra dry after you wash it with soap?
Does your skin get extra oily and break out after you use particular types of moisturizers?

If you answered Yes to one or both of these questions, you may have sensitive skin.

Does your skin get red, itch, burn, or feel “tight” after coming into direct or indirect contact with perfumes and/or particular shampoos, shaving creams, detergents, dish soaps, hair sprays, cleaning products, or deodorants?

Irritants to sensitive skin include many household and personal products. The fragrances and dyes in just about every household product, and many personal care products, can cause irritation either from direct contact or even from deposits left on your clothes, towels, or bedding. If you have any of the classic signs and symptoms of sensitive skin in Question 3, try to use hypoallergenic products without ingredients known to cause skin reactions.

Does your skin get red, itch, burn, or feel “tight” after extended exposure to sun, wind, heat, or cold?

Sensitive skin often reacts to extreme weather conditions. In fact, anything in the environment that damages your skin’s natural protective barrier against water evaporation — called sebum — can irritate sensitive skin.

Do you have acne or psoriasis?

People with acne, psoriasis, or skin conditions like eczema often have sensitive skin. These conditions impair immune system functioning and/or destroy the skin’s protective barrier. If you have of these conditions, you may have sensitive skin.

Vegetarian Men: Should You Beware the Secrets of Soy They’re Not Telling You?

Soy and soy products have come under more and more close inspection in the news lately. If youâ??ve taken a look, and if youâ??re a vegetarian or are investigating the vegetarian eating style, youâ??ve likely seen that the news isnâ??t all good. Men, especially have cause for concern, due to the high plant-estrogen content of the soy bean and plant. Before reaching for another block of tofu, or taking a closer look at the vegetarian diet, youâ??ve got to read this!

First of all, why is this especially a MENS issue?
Everyone has a little bit of both types of hormones: Testosterone and Estrogen. They play important roles in the bodyâ??s many functions. Men have more testosterone than estrogenâ?¦and they donâ??t need any more than the body already produces. Declining testosterone production in older age men causes health problems, as the testosterone/estrogen balance is then upset. Testosterone levels in boys are also important for proper development and bone health. Adding in extra estrogen to the mix isnâ??t a good idea at any stage.

So whatâ??s the problem with soy?
It has high levels of â??plant estrogensâ?. Plant estrogens are hormones the plant uses for its daily function. Theyâ??re not the same as the ones found in  humans, and if consumed, are 1,000 times LESS effective as human hormones. They are sometimes called phytoestrogens or lignans.
But as a vegetarian, or anyone trying to adopt a healthy eating pattern, soy and soy products play a big role. Donâ??t want nasty bovine hormones? Drink soy milk. Donâ??t want to hurt animals by eating meat? Get protein from tofu blocks/ tofu dogs/tofurkey and countless other sources of Soy products.

It may be less effective than human estrogen, but all those little bits add up when youâ??re using soy and other phytoestogen rich plants as your protein source. These may be ok for women, especially anyone having menopause, but males donâ??t need any extra estrogen. You might see a lot of studies done in the news saying things like â??too much soy reduces sperm countâ? and â??over-eating of soy products leads to earlier memory-loss in men in Indonesiaâ? (Indonesia consumes a lot of soy as part of the traditional diet) While the FDA hasnâ??t ruled on anything yet, this â??Bad Buzzâ? is enough to scare some people away, and make others think twice.

Unfortunately, this fact (and the fact that not everyone is going to like tofu, no matter who they are) scares people away from even trying the vegetarian diet. This no longer has to be the case! A recent discovery makes it much easier (and more delicious) to get the protein you need, without ANY soy or soy-based product.

The answer is the Chia Seed.
This seed is unique among seeds for many reasons, all of which are beneficial to you! First off, by weight, the chia seed is 23% complete protein. Complete protein is difficult to come by in the plant world, and most people get their daily amount from animal meat. Vegetarians routinely mix together incomplete protein food sources in order to meet healthy diet needs. The Chia seedâ??s protein level makes it a valuable dietary addition for vegetarians.

This tiny seed has other wonderful benefits that can especially be taken advantage of by men. They donâ??t have plant estrogens to mess with the hormone balance that keeps you healthy. They donâ??t require you to learn how to cook with tofu (and make it taste goodâ??a real feat!) They donâ??t require lots of preparation time or know-how in the kitchen. You donâ??t have to change your eating habits. Basically, if you have a measuring spoon or scoop, you can use chiaâ??whether youâ??re a vegetarian or not!

Things you should know about this tiny miracle seed:

First:
Chia has no flavor of its own. Youâ??re not fighting to cover up a taste you donâ??t want. Instead, the seeds distribute the flavor of food or beverages you add them to. A food with totally customizable flavor is a food thatâ??s totally easy to use. Sweet or savory, in a recipe or just sprinkled on top, Chia seeds go to work distributing the flavor right away.

Second:
There are so many ways to use it. Tofu claims to be versatile, but can you use it to cut out half the fat of a delicious brownie and have it taste exactly the same? No way! But Chia Seeds can.
Fact:
Chia Gel can replace up to half of the butter or oil in any recipe without altering the flavor or the cooking method.

Another thing you canâ??t do with tofu, is to sprinkle it over any food you already like to eat, to get your daily recommended amount. Any food that is moist enough to prevent the seeds from bouncing off the surface can be used. This includes pizza, yogurt, ice cream, soup, sandwiches, cereal and any drink. The flavorless seeds wonâ??t interrupt your eating enjoyment.

Third:
Chia Seeds are loaded with bonus benefits. Want to feel full at meal time without eating as much food? The fiber and gelling action of the seed keeps you feeling full longer, and replaces calories youâ??d normally eat with water. Want better regularity? Chia is packed with soluble and insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber acts as a â??sweeperâ?? in the intestine, keeping food moving along. Soluble fiber irrigates the bowels making digestion easier so the intestines donâ??t have to work as hard to move food. Enough fiber in your diet also helps reduce the risk of colon cancer.

Fourth:
Every seed is packed with nutrition: a full range of B vitamins, more calcium by weight than milk, healthy omega-3 oils, anti-oxidants, and important trace-minerals such as boron.

Thereâ??s no need to â??fear the tofuâ? if youâ??re looking to make the healthy choice of a vegetarian diet. If you are already a vegetarian, all the anti-soy hype in the news wonâ??t bother you, when you have Chia Seeds in the house. Whatever conclusion the scientific studies come to, with regards to plant-estrogens, youâ??ll know youâ??re safe with chia seeds. Donâ??t wait another day to try this nutrition revolution!
